Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern access to and use of TextMyReceipts ("TextMyReceipts," "we," "us," or "our"), a software platform that helps bookkeepers collect client receipts via SMS and email, process them with OCR and AI categorization, and push approved expenses to accounting platforms.
By accessing or using TextMyReceipts, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility and Authority
You may use TextMyReceipts only if you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement and, if using the platform on behalf of a business, you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Service Description
TextMyReceipts provides software for SMS and email receipt intake, OCR extraction, AI-assisted categorization, bookkeeper review dashboards, automated client nudges, and integration with accounting platforms including QuickBooks and Xero.
TextMyReceipts is not an accounting firm, tax advisor, or financial services provider.
3. Acceptable Use
- Do not submit fraudulent, forged, or illegal documents.
- Do not use the service to send spam or unsolicited messages.
- Do not violate privacy laws or financial regulations.
- Do not interfere with or disrupt the service.
4. Customer Responsibilities
Bookkeepers are responsible for the accuracy of categorizations they approve, the legality of their use of client data, obtaining any required consent from clients for SMS communication, and compliance with applicable financial, tax, privacy, and telecom regulations.
5. Messaging Program Terms
Program name: TextMyReceipts.
TextMyReceipts supports SMS-based receipt collection from bookkeeper clients and automated receipt reminders. Messages are limited to receipt submission, confirmation, and collection reminders.
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on client receipt submission activity.
Message and data rates may apply.
End users can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for support.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of service.
6. Data Accuracy
OCR extraction and AI categorization are provided as automated suggestions. Bookkeepers are responsible for reviewing and approving all data before it is pushed to accounting platforms. TextMyReceipts does not guarantee the accuracy of automated extraction or categorization.
7. Account Security
You are responsible for safeguarding account credentials and restricting access to authorized personnel only.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of TextMyReceipts is also subject to the TextMyReceipts Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue part or all of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
10. Disclaimers
TextMyReceipts is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TextMyReceipts will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business opportunities.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, or misuse the platform.
